libsoup:

Security Fix(es):
libpng: A buffer overflow flaw has been discovered in libpng. There is a heap buffer overflow vulnerability in the libpng simplified API function png_image_finish_read when processing 16-bit interlaced PNGs with 8-bit output format. Attacker-crafted interlaced PNG files cause heap writes beyond allocated buffer bounds.(CVE-2025-65018)
libpng: An out of bounds read vulnerability has been discovered in libpng. This vulnerability is in libpng's simplified API allows reading up to 1012 bytes beyond the png_sRGB_base[512] array when processing valid palette PNG images with partial transparency and gamma correction. The PNG files that trigger this vulnerability are valid per the PNG specification; the bug is in libpng's internal state management.(CVE-2025-66293)
libpng: A flaw was found in libpng. A remote attacker could exploit an out-of-bounds read and write vulnerability in the ARM/AArch64 Neon-optimized palette expansion path. This occurs when processing a final partial chunk of 8-bit paletted rows without verifying sufficient input pixels, leading to dereferencing pointers before the start of the row buffer and writing expanded pixel data to underflowed positions. This flaw can result in information disclosure and denial of service.(CVE-2026-33636)
libpng: A flaw was found in libpng. A local attacker could exploit this vulnerability by manipulating the width/height arguments in the `do_pnm2png` function of the `pnm2png` component. This manipulation causes a heap-based buffer overflow, which could lead to information disclosure and denial of service (DoS).(CVE-2026-3713)
libpng: A flaw was found in libpng, a reference library for PNG (Portable Network Graphics) raster image files. An integer truncation vulnerability exists in the png_write_image_16bit and png_write_image_8bit simplified write API functions. A local attacker could exploit this flaw by providing a negative row stride (for bottom-up image layouts) or a stride exceeding 65535 bytes, leading to a heap buffer over-read. This can result in information disclosure or a denial of service (DoS) to the system.(CVE-2026-22801)
libpng: A flaw was found in libpng, a library used for handling PNG (Portable Network Graphics) image files. This vulnerability arises when an application reuses a pointer, previously obtained from functions like png_get_PLTE, by passing it back to a corresponding setter function within the same image structure. This action causes the setter to access memory that has already been deallocated, leading to a use-after-free condition. A local attacker could potentially exploit this flaw to corrupt image metadata or disclose sensitive information from the application's memory.(CVE-2026-34757)
libpng: A heap buffer over-read vulnerability exists in libpng's png_do_quantize function when processing PNG files with malformed palette indices. The vulnerability occurs when palette_lookup array bounds are not validated against externally-supplied image data, allowing an attacker to craft a PNG file with out-of-range palette indices that trigger out-of-bounds memory access.(CVE-2025-64505)
libpng: A flaw was found in libpng, a library used for processing PNG (Portable Network Graphics) image files. This vulnerability arises from improper memory management where a heap-allocated buffer is aliased between internal data structures. When specific functions are called, a freed memory region can still be referenced, leading to a use-after-free condition. An attacker could potentially exploit this to achieve arbitrary code execution or cause a denial of service.(CVE-2026-33416)
libpng: A buffer over read flaw has been discovered in libpng. A heap buffer over-read vulnerability exists in libpng's png_write_image_8bit function when processing 8-bit images through the simplified write API with convert_to_8bit enabled. The vulnerability affects 8-bit grayscale+alpha, RGB/RGBA, and images with incomplete row data. A conditional guard incorrectly allows 8-bit input to enter code expecting 16-bit input, causing reads up to 2 bytes beyond allocated buffer boundaries.(CVE-2025-64506)
libpng: A buffer overflow flaw has been discovered in libpng. An out-of-bounds read vulnerability exists in png_image_read_composite when processing palette images with PNG_FLAG_OPTIMIZE_ALPHA enabled. The palette compositing code in png_init_read_transformations incorrectly applies background compositing during premultiplication, violating the invariant component ≤ alpha × 257 required by the simplified PNG API.(CVE-2025-64720)
libpng: A heap based buffer overflow flaw has been discovered in LibPNG. Prior to version 1.6.55, an out-of-bounds read vulnerability exists in the png_set_quantize() API function. When the function is called with no histogram and the number of colors in the palette is more than twice the maximum supported by the user's display, certain palettes will cause the function to enter into an infinite loop that reads past the end of an internal heap-allocated buffer. The images that trigger this vulnerability are valid per the PNG specification.(CVE-2026-25646)
libpng: bugfix
libsoup: A flaw in libsoup’s HTTP header handling allows multiple Host: headers in a request and returns the last occurrence for server-side processing. Common front proxies often honor the first Host: header, so this mismatch can cause vhost confusion where a proxy routes a request to one backend but the backend interprets it as destined for another host. This discrepancy enables request-smuggling style attacks, cache poisoning, or bypassing host-based access controls when an attacker supplies duplicate Host headers.(CVE-2025-14523)
libsoup: A flaw was found in libsoup. This stack-based buffer overflow vulnerability occurs during the parsing of multipart HTTP responses due to an incorrect length calculation. A remote attacker can exploit this by sending a specially crafted multipart HTTP response, which can lead to memory corruption. This issue may result in application crashes or arbitrary code execution in applications that process untrusted server responses, and it does not require authentication or user interaction.(CVE-2026-1761)
libsoup: A vulnerability was found in the libsoup package. This flaw stems from its failure to correctly verify the termination of multipart HTTP messages. This can allow a remote attacker to send a specially crafted multipart HTTP body, causing the libsoup-consuming server to read beyond its allocated memory boundaries (out-of-bounds read).(CVE-2025-4969)
libsoup: A flaw was found in libsoup. When libsoup clients encounter an HTTP redirect, they mistakenly send the HTTP Authorization header to the new host that the redirection points to. This allows the new host to impersonate the user to the original host that issued the redirect.(CVE-2025-46421)
libsoup: A flaw was found in libsoup, where SoupAuthDigest is vulnerable to a NULL pointer dereference. The HTTP server may cause the libsoup client to crash.(CVE-2025-32912)
libsoup: A flaw was found in SoupServer. This HTTP request smuggling vulnerability occurs because SoupServer improperly handles requests that combine Transfer-Encoding: chunked and Connection: keep-alive headers. A remote, unauthenticated client can exploit this by sending specially crafted requests, causing SoupServer to fail to close the connection as required by RFC 9112. This allows the attacker to smuggle additional requests over the persistent connection, leading to unintended request processing and potential denial-of-service (DoS) conditions.(CVE-2026-1760)
libsoup: A flaw was found in libsoup. The implementation of HTTP range requests is vulnerable to a resource consumption attack. This flaw allows a malicious client to request the same range many times in a single HTTP request, causing the server to use large amounts of memory. This does not allow for a full denial of service.(CVE-2025-32907)
libsoup: A flaw was found in libsoup. A remote attacker could exploit an unsigned to signed conversion error in the `soup_body_input_stream_read_chunked()` function by sending a malicious HTTP request. This vulnerability occurs when libsoup operates behind a non-libsoup proxy server or as a proxy in front of a non-libsoup backend server. Successful exploitation can allow an attacker to bypass security controls, poison web caches, or gain unauthorized access.(CVE-2026-6324)
libsoup: A flaw was found in libsoup, where the soup_headers_parse_request() function may be vulnerable to an out-of-bound read. This flaw allows a malicious user to use a specially crafted HTTP request to crash the HTTP server.(CVE-2025-32906)
libsoup: A flaw was found in libsoup. The package is vulnerable to a heap buffer over-read when sniffing content via the skip_insight_whitespace() function. Libsoup clients may read one byte out-of-bounds in response to a crafted HTTP response by an HTTP server.(CVE-2025-2784)
libsoup: A flaw was found in libsoup, where soup_auth_digest_authenticate() is vulnerable to a NULL pointer dereference. This issue may cause the libsoup client to crash.(CVE-2025-32910)
libsoup: A flaw was found in libsoup. It is vulnerable to memory leaks in the soup_header_parse_quality_list() function when parsing a quality list that contains elements with all zeroes.(CVE-2025-46420)
libsoup: A flaw was found in libsoup. The libsoup append_param_quoted() function may contain an overflow bug resulting in a buffer under-read.(CVE-2025-32050)
libsoup: A flaw was found in the libsoup HTTP library that can cause proxy authentication credentials to be sent to unintended destinations. When handling HTTP redirects, libsoup removes the Authorization header but does not remove the Proxy-Authorization header if the request is redirected to a different host. As a result, sensitive proxy credentials may be leaked to third-party servers. Applications using libsoup for HTTP communication may unintentionally expose proxy authentication data.(CVE-2026-1539)
libsoup: A flaw was identified in the NTLM authentication handling of the libsoup HTTP library, used by GNOME and other applications for network communication. When processing extremely long passwords, an internal size calculation can overflow due to improper use of signed integers. This results in incorrect memory allocation on the stack, followed by unsafe memory copying. As a result, applications using libsoup may crash unexpectedly, creating a denial-of-service risk.(CVE-2026-0719)
libsoup: A flaw was found in the cookie parsing logic of the libsoup HTTP library, used in GNOME applications and other software. The vulnerability arises when processing the expiration date of cookies, where a specially crafted value can trigger an integer overflow. This may result in undefined behavior, allowing an attacker to bypass cookie expiration logic, causing persistent or unintended cookie behavior. The issue stems from improper validation of large integer inputs during date arithmetic operations within the cookie parsing routines.(CVE-2025-4945)
libsoup: A flaw was found in libsoup, where the soup_multipart_new_from_message() function is vulnerable to an out-of-bounds read. This flaw allows a malicious HTTP client to induce the libsoup server to read out of bounds.(CVE-2025-32914)
libsoup: A flaw was found in the cookie date handling logic of the libsoup HTTP library, widely used by GNOME and other applications for web communication. When processing cookies with specially crafted expiration dates, the library may perform an out-of-bounds memory read. This flaw could result in unintended disclosure of memory contents, potentially exposing sensitive information from the process using libsoup.(CVE-2025-11021)
libsoup: A flaw was found in the Libsoup library. When Libsoup parses HTTP headers, it ignores null bytes at the end of header names. Thus, `Transfer-Encoding: chunked` is equivalent to `Transfer-Encoding\x00: chunked`. This issue allows request smuggling when Libsoup is used in a service behind a reverse proxy that forwards null bytes without stripping them.(CVE-2024-52530)
libsoup: A flaw was found in libsoup. A vulnerability in the sniff_unknown() function may lead to heap buffer over-read.(CVE-2025-32052)
libsoup: A flaw was found in libsoup. A vulnerability in sniff_feed_or_html() and skip_insignificant_space() functions may lead to a heap buffer over-read.(CVE-2025-32053)
libsoup: A flaw was found in libsoup. An integer underflow vulnerability occurs when processing content with a zero-length resource, leading to a buffer overread. This can allow an attacker to potentially access sensitive information or cause an application level denial of service.(CVE-2026-2369)
libsoup: A denial-of-service vulnerability has been identified in the libsoup HTTP client library. This flaw can be triggered when a libsoup client receives a 401 (Unauthorized) HTTP response containing a specifically crafted domain parameter within the WWW-Authenticate header. Processing this malformed header can lead to a crash of the client application using libsoup. An attacker could exploit this by setting up a malicious HTTP server. If a user's application using the vulnerable libsoup library connects to this malicious server, it could result in a denial-of-service. Successful exploitation requires tricking a user's client application into connecting to the attacker's malicious server.(CVE-2025-4476)
libsoup: A flaw was found in the soup_multipart_new_from_message() function of the libsoup HTTP library, which is commonly used by GNOME and other applications to handle web communications. The issue occurs when the library processes specially crafted multipart messages. Due to improper validation, an internal calculation can go wrong, leading to an integer underflow. This can cause the program to access invalid memory and crash. As a result, any application or server using libsoup could be forced to exit unexpectedly, creating a denial-of-service (DoS) risk.(CVE-2025-4948)
libsoup: A flaw was found in libsoup, an HTTP client/server library. This HTTP Request Smuggling vulnerability arises from non-RFC-compliant parsing in the soup_filter_input_stream_read_line() logic, where libsoup accepts malformed chunk headers, such as lone line feed (LF) characters instead of the required carriage return and line feed (CRLF). A remote attacker can exploit this without authentication or user interaction by sending specially crafted chunked requests. This allows libsoup to parse and process multiple HTTP requests from a single network message, potentially leading to information disclosure.(CVE-2026-1801)
libsoup: A flaw was found in libsoup. The SoupWebsocketConnection may accept a large WebSocket message, which may cause libsoup to allocate memory and lead to a denial of service (DoS).(CVE-2025-32049)
libsoup: A flaw was found in libsoup. SoupContentSniffer may be vulnerable to a NULL pointer dereference in the sniff_mp4 function. The HTTP server may cause the libsoup client to crash.(CVE-2025-32909)
