Security Fix(es):
krb5: A vulnerability was found in the _xdr_kadm5_principal_ent_rec() function in lib/kadm5/kadm_rpc_xdr.c in MIT Kerberos 5 (krb5). This issue occurs due to lack of validation in the relationship between n_key_data and the key_data array count, leading to the freeing of uninitialized pointers. This may allow a remote authenticated attacker to send a specially crafted request that causes the kadmind process to crash, resulting in a denial of service (DoS).(CVE-2023-36054)
krb5: A vulnerability was found in the MIT Kerberos 5 GSS krb5 wrap token, where an attacker can modify the plaintext Extra Count field, causing the unwrapped token to appear truncated to the application, occurs when the attacker alters the token data during transmission which can lead to improper handling of authentication tokens.(CVE-2024-37371)

kernel: In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ppdev: Add an error check in register_device In register_device, the return value of ida_simple_get is unchecked, in witch ida_simple_get will use an invalid index value. To address this issue, index should be checked after ida_simple_get. When the index value is abnormal, a warning message should be printed, the port should be dropped, and the value should be recorded.(CVE-2024-36015)
kernel: In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: rtc: pcf85063: fix potential OOB write in PCF85063 NVMEM read The nvmem interface supports variable buffer sizes, while the regmap interface operates with fixed-size storage. If an nvmem client uses a buffer size less than 4 bytes, regmap_read will write out of bounds as it expects the buffer to point at an unsigned int. Fix this by using an intermediary unsigned int to hold the value.(CVE-2024-58069)
kernel: In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/modes: Avoid divide by zero harder in drm_mode_vrefresh() drm_mode_vrefresh() is trying to avoid divide by zero by checking whether htotal or vtotal are zero. But we may still end up with a div-by-zero of vtotal*htotal*...(CVE-2024-56369)
kernel: In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: i2c: smbus: fix NULL function pointer dereference Baruch reported an OOPS when using the designware controller as target only. Target-only modes break the assumption of one transfer function always being available. Fix this by always checking the pointer in __i2c_transfer. [wsa: dropped the simplification in core-smbus to avoid theoretical regressions](CVE-2024-35984)
kernel: An out-of-bounds memory write flaw was found in the Linux kernel’s Transport Layer Security functionality in how a user calls a function splice with a ktls socket as the destination. This flaw allows a local user to crash or potentially escalate their privileges on the system.(CVE-2024-0646)
kernel: In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: udf: Avoid excessive partition lengths Avoid mounting filesystems where the partition would overflow the 32-bits used for block number. Also refuse to mount filesystems where the partition length is so large we cannot safely index bits in a block bitmap.(CVE-2024-46777)
kernel: In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/amd/display: Check num_valid_sets before accessing reader_wm_sets[] [WHY & HOW] num_valid_sets needs to be checked to avoid a negative index when accessing reader_wm_sets[num_valid_sets - 1]. This fixes an OVERRUN issue reported by Coverity.(CVE-2024-46815)
kernel: In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: mac80211: fix mbss changed flags corruption on 32 bit systems On 32-bit systems, the size of an unsigned long is 4 bytes, while a u64 is 8 bytes. Therefore, when using or_each_set_bit(bit, &bits, sizeof(changed) * BITS_PER_BYTE), the code is incorrectly searching for a bit in a 32-bit variable that is expected to be 64 bits in size, leading to incorrect bit finding. Solution: Ensure that the size of the bits variable is correctly adjusted for each architecture. kernel: In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/amdgpu: the warning dereferencing obj for nbio_v7_4 if ras_manager obj null, don't print NBIO err data(CVE-2024-46819)
kernel: This CVE has been marked as Rejected by the assigning CNA.(CVE-2024-39501)
kernel: In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ALSA: seq: oss: Fix races at processing SysEx messages OSS sequencer handles the SysEx messages split in 6 bytes packets, and ALSA sequencer OSS layer tries to combine those. It stores the data in the internal buffer and this access is racy as of now, which may lead to the out-of-bounds access. As a temporary band-aid fix, introduce a mutex for serializing the process of the SysEx message packets.(CVE-2024-57893)
kernel: In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: iscsi_ibft: Fix UBSAN shift-out-of-bounds warning in ibft_attr_show_nic() When performing an iSCSI boot using IPv6, iscsistart still reads the /sys/firmware/ibft/ethernetX/subnet-mask entry. Since the IPv6 prefix length is 64, this causes the shift exponent to become negative, triggering a UBSAN warning. As the concept of a subnet mask does not apply to IPv6, the value is set to ~0 to suppress the warning message.(CVE-2025-21993)
kernel: In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: RDMA/uverbs: Prevent integer overflow issue In the expression "cmd.wqe_size * cmd.wr_count", both variables are u32 values that come from the user so the multiplication can lead to integer wrapping. Then we pass the result to uverbs_request_next_ptr() which also could potentially wrap. The "cmd.sge_count * sizeof(struct ib_uverbs_sge)" multiplication can also overflow on 32bit systems although it's fine on 64bit systems. This patch does two things. First, I've re-arranged the condition in uverbs_request_next_ptr() so that the use controlled variable "len" is on one side of the comparison by itself without any math. Then I've modified all the callers to use size_mul() for the multiplications.(CVE-2024-57890)
kernel: In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/amd/display: Skip wbscl_set_scaler_filter if filter is null Callers can pass null in filter (i.e. from returned from the function wbscl_get_filter_coeffs_16p) and a null check is added to ensure that is not the case. This fixes 4 NULL_RETURNS issues reported by Coverity.(CVE-2024-46714)
kernel: A denial of service vulnerability was found in the Linux kernel. Downgrading gso_size may trigger a crash, resulting in a loss of system availability.(CVE-2024-42281)
kernel: A flaw was found in the Linux kernel usb: cdc-acm component. This vulnerability allows memory corruption via improper checking of control transfer buffer size.(CVE-2025-21704)
kernel: A denial of service vulnerability exists in the Linux kernel. A possible divide-by-0 is in the padata_mt_helper() function when the ps->chunk_size is 0. This vulnerability could result in a loss of system availability.(CVE-2024-43889)
kernel: A side channel vulnerability was found in hw amd. Some AMD CPUs may allow an attacker to influence the return address prediction. This issue may result in speculative execution at an attacker-controlled instruction pointer register, potentially leading to information disclosure.(CVE-2023-20569)
kernel: A logic error was found in the io_uring subsystem of the Linux kernel. This issue occurs due to an incorrect assumption that the last io_grab_identity call could not return false in the io_prep_async_work function, leading to reference counting issues and a use-after-free issue. This could allow a local user to crash or escalate their privileges on the system.(CVE-2023-0240)
kernel: In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: nfsd: clear acl_access/acl_default after releasing them If getting acl_default fails, acl_access and acl_default will be released simultaneously. However, acl_access will still retain a pointer pointing to the released posix_acl, which will trigger a WARNING in nfs3svc_release_getacl like this: ------------[ cut here ]------------ refcount_t: underflow; use-after-free. kernel: In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: binfmt_flat: Fix integer overflow bug on 32 bit systems Most of these sizes and counts are capped at 256MB so the math doesn't result in an integer overflow. The "relocs" count needs to be checked as well. Otherwise on 32bit systems the calculation of "full_data" could be wrong. full_data = data_len + relocs * sizeof(unsigned long);(CVE-2024-58010)
kernel: A flaw was found in igb_configure_rx_ring in drivers/net/ethernet/intel/igb/igb_main.c in the IGB driver in the Linux kernel. An overflow of the contents from a packet that is too large will overflow into the kernel's ring buffer, leading to a system integrity issue.(CVE-2023-45871)
kernel: A use-after-free flaw was found in the Linux kernel's af_unix component that allows local privilege escalation. The unix_stream_sendpage() function tries to add data to the last skb in the peer's recv queue without locking the queue. This issue leads to a race condition where the unix_stream_sendpage() function could access a skb that is being released by garbage collection, resulting in a use-after-free issue.(CVE-2023-4622)

kernel: A flaw was found in the tls subsystem of the Linux kernel. When setting the CRYPTO_TFM_REQ_MAY_BACKLOG flag on requests to the crypto API, crypto_aead_encrypt and crypto_aead_decrypt functions can return -EBUSY instead of -EINPROGRESS in valid situations. This issue could lead to undefined behavior and a denial of service condition.(CVE-2024-26584)

kernel: A buffer overflow vulnerability was found in the Linux kernel. When performing an elem comparison, no length checking is performed, which can result in the system's loss of availability.(CVE-2022-49023)
kernel: A vulnerability was found in the Linux kernel's clocksource subsystem, specifically affecting systems running with the PREEMPT_RT (Real-Time) patch. In real-time kernels, certain locks used within the random number generation functions, are implemented as sleeping locks. Calling these functions in an atomic context—where sleeping is not allowed—can lead to kernel warnings or crashes. The issue occurs when the get_random_u32() function is called within an atomic context, which is not permissible in real-time kernels due to the use of sleeping locks in the random number generation code.(CVE-2025-21767)
kernel: In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: hns3: fix a deadlock problem when config TC during resetting When config TC during the reset process, may cause a deadlock, the flow is as below: pf reset start │ ▼ ...... setup tc │ │ ▼ ▼ DOWN: napi_disable() napi_disable()(skip) │ │ │ ▼ ▼ ...... ...... │ │ ▼ │ napi_enable() │ ▼ UINIT: netif_napi_del() │ ▼ ...... │ ▼ INIT: netif_napi_add() │ ▼ ...... global reset start │ │ ▼ ▼ UP: napi_enable()(skip) ...... │ │ ▼ ▼ ...... napi_disable() In reset process, the driver will DOWN the port and then UINIT, in this case, the setup tc process will UP the port before UINIT, so cause the problem. Adds a DOWN process in UINIT to fix it.(CVE-2024-44995)
kernel: In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: hns3: fix oops when unload drivers paralleling When unload hclge driver, it tries to disable sriov first for each ae_dev node from hnae3_ae_dev_list. If user unloads hns3 driver at the time, because it removes all the ae_dev nodes, and it may cause oops. But we can't simply use hnae3_common_lock for this. Because in the process flow of pci_disable_sriov(), it will trigger the remove flow of VF, which will also take hnae3_common_lock. To fixes it, introduce a new mutex to protect the unload process.(CVE-2025-21802)

kernel: In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ocfs2: fix slab-use-after-free due to dangling pointer dqi_priv When mounting ocfs2 and then remounting it as read-only, a slab-use-after-free occurs after the user uses a syscall to quota_getnextquota. Specifically, sb_dqinfo(sb, type)->dqi_priv is the dangling pointer. During the remounting process, the pointer dqi_priv is freed but is never set as null leaving it to be accessed. Additionally, the read-only option for remounting sets the DQUOT_SUSPENDED flag instead of setting the DQUOT_USAGE_ENABLED flags. Moreover, later in the process of getting the next quota, the function ocfs2_get_next_id is called and only checks the quota usage flags and not the quota suspended flags. To fix this, I set dqi_priv to null when it is freed after remounting with read-only and put a check for DQUOT_SUSPENDED in ocfs2_get_next_id. In a memory constrained environment like the kdump image, a softlockup is not just a harmless message, but it can interfere with things like RCU freeing memory, causing the crashdump to get stuck. The second loop in __read_vmcore has a lot more opportunities for natural sleep points, like scheduling out while waiting for a data write to happen, but apparently that is not always enough. Add a cond_resched() to the second loop in __read_vmcore to (hopefully) get rid of the softlockups.(CVE-2025-21694)

kernel: In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: stmmac: fix TSO DMA API usage causing oops Commit 66600fac7a98 ("net: stmmac: TSO: Fix unbalanced DMA map/unmap for non-paged SKB data") moved the assignment of tx_skbuff_dma[]'s members to be later in stmmac_tso_xmit(). The buf (dma cookie) and len stored in this structure are passed to dma_unmap_single() by stmmac_tx_clean(). The DMA API requires that the dma cookie passed to dma_unmap_single() is the same as the value returned from dma_map_single(). However, by moving the assignment later, this is not the case when priv->dma_cap.addr64 > 32 as "des" is offset by proto_hdr_len. This causes problems such as: dwc-eth-dwmac 2490000.ethernet eth0: Tx DMA map failed and with DMA_API_DEBUG enabled: DMA-API: dwc-eth-dwmac 2490000.ethernet: device driver tries to +free DMA memory it has not allocated [device address=0x000000ffffcf65c0] [size=66 bytes] Fix this by maintaining "des" as the original DMA cookie, and use tso_des to pass the offset DMA cookie to stmmac_tso_allocator(). kernel: In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: soc: imx8m: Probe the SoC driver as platform driver With driver_async_probe=* on kernel command line, the following trace is produced because on i.MX8M Plus hardware because the soc-imx8m.c driver calls of_clk_get_by_name() which returns -EPROBE_DEFER because the clock driver is not yet probed. This was not detected during regular testing without driver_async_probe. Convert the SoC code to platform driver and instantiate a platform device in its current device_initcall() to probe the platform driver. Rework .soc_revision callback to always return valid error code and return SoC revision via parameter. This way, if anything in the .soc_revision callback return -EPROBE_DEFER, it gets propagated to .probe and the .probe will get retried later. kernel: In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bpf: Fix hashtab overflow check on 32-bit arches The hashtab code relies on roundup_pow_of_two() to compute the number of hash buckets, and contains an overflow check by checking if the resulting value is 0. However, on 32-bit arches, the roundup code itself can overflow by doing a 32-bit left-shift of an unsigned long value, which is undefined behaviour, so it is not guaranteed to truncate neatly. This was triggered by syzbot on the DEVMAP_HASH type, which contains the same check, copied from the hashtab code. So apply the same fix to hashtab, by moving the overflow check to before the roundup.(CVE-2024-26884)
kernel: In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: remoteproc: imx_rproc: Skip over memory region when node value is NULL In imx_rproc_addr_init() "nph = of_count_phandle_with_args()" just counts number of phandles. But phandles may be empty. So of_parse_phandle() in the parsing loop (0 < a < nph) may return NULL which is later dereferenced. Adjust this issue by adding NULL-return check. Found by Linux Verification Center (linuxtesting.org) with SVACE. [Fixed title to fit within the prescribed 70-75 charcters](CVE-2024-43860)
kernel: In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: dmaengine: at_xdmac: avoid null_prt_deref in at_xdmac_prep_dma_memset The at_xdmac_memset_create_desc may return NULL, which will lead to a null pointer dereference. For example, the len input is error, or the atchan->free_descs_list is empty and memory is exhausted. Therefore, add check to avoid this.(CVE-2024-56767)
kernel: A flaw was found in the ip_tunnel implementation in the Linux kernel. This flaw occurs because the ip_tunnel_rcv() function does not properly pull the inner IP header before processing. A remote attacker could exploit this by sending crafted tunneled packets, potentially leading to a denial of service or incorrect packet handling. This impacts the integrity and availability of systems using IP tunneling.(CVE-2024-26882)
kernel: In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bpf: Fix stackmap overflow check on 32-bit arches The stackmap code relies on roundup_pow_of_two() to compute the number of hash buckets, and contains an overflow check by checking if the resulting value is 0. The commit in the fixes tag actually attempted to fix this, but the fix did not account for the UB, so the fix only works on CPUs where an overflow does result in a neat truncation to zero, which is not guaranteed. Checking the value before rounding does not have this problem.(CVE-2024-26883)
kernel: In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: media: dvb-frontends: dib3000mb: fix uninit-value in dib3000_write_reg Syzbot reports [1] an uninitialized value issue found by KMSAN in dib3000_read_reg(). Local u8 rb[2] is used in i2c_transfer() as a read buffer; in case that call fails, the buffer may end up with some undefined values. Since no elaborate error handling is expected in dib3000_write_reg(), simply zero out rb buffer to mitigate the problem. kernel: In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: power: supply: gpio-charger: Fix set charge current limits Fix set charge current limits for devices which allow to set the lowest charge current limit to be greater zero. kernel: In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: HID: i2c-hid: remove I2C_HID_READ_PENDING flag to prevent lock-up The flag I2C_HID_READ_PENDING is used to serialize I2C operations. However, this is not necessary, because I2C core already has its own locking for that. More importantly, this flag can cause a lock-up: if the flag is set in i2c_hid_xfer() and an interrupt happens, the interrupt handler (i2c_hid_irq) will check this flag and return immediately without doing anything, then the interrupt handler will be invoked again in an infinite loop. Since interrupt handler is an RT task, it takes over the CPU and the flag-clearing task never gets scheduled, thus we have a lock-up. Delete this unnecessary flag.(CVE-2024-35997)
kernel: A use-after-free vulnerability was found in drivers/nvme/target/tcp.c` in `nvmet_tcp_free_crypto` due to a logical bug in the NVMe/TCP subsystem in the Linux kernel. This issue may allow a malicious user to cause a use-after-free and double-free problem, which may permit remote code execution or lead to local privilege escalation.(CVE-2023-5178)

kernel: In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Input: uinput - reject requests with unreasonable number of slots When exercising uinput interface syzkaller may try setting up device with a really large number of slots, which causes memory allocation failure in input_mt_init_slots(). While this allocation failure is handled properly and request is rejected, it results in syzkaller reports. Additionally, such request may put undue burden on the system which will try to free a lot of memory for a bogus request. Fix it by limiting allowed number of slots to 100. This can easily be extended if we see devices that can track more than 100 contacts.(CVE-2024-46745)
